drawnsword - ep pack

As part of the artist DrawnSword’s EP release he wanted a pack so he could deliver his EP physically to get his music in front of certain key players in the industry. In combination with a brand and logo design i did for him (see below) I worked on this pack design.

I wanted to use the confidence a user gains from familiarity. In this case mechanism of a simple push slide matchbox gave an extra layer of journey for the user. The size was based on that of a tape cassette, easily fitting the hand and pocket and a nod to the ‘80’s future’ aesthetic of the brand. fInally the magnetic book closure of the main box gave a tactile element to the opening.
